Client Configuration
Eudora for Windows
- Choose Directory Services from the Tools menu.
- Choose LDAP from the list of protocols listed in the upper-right corner. Then click on New Database.
- In the Server Name field, assign a name to the new database (for example, wvuLDAP).
- In the hostname, type ldap.wvu.edu. Set the port number to 389.
- Choose the Search Options tab.
- Type ou=people,dc=wvu,dc=edu in the Search Base field.
- Click OK to close the dialog box.
- In the lower right corner of the screen there is a "Databases" window.
- Click the checkbox to select the new LDAP server as your search directory. Make sure that your former search directory is not selected.
You are now configured to use LDAP, and any future searches performed through the Eudora Directory Services Window will be completed via LDAP.
