Client Configuration

MacOSX Mail Client

1. Click Preferences.
2. Click Composing, then Edit Server List, and then Add Server.
3. Double-click Service Name and add a name of your choosing.
4. Tab to Hostname and enter ldap.wvu.edu for the hostname.
5. Tab to Search Base and enter ou=people,dc=wvu,dc=edu for the search base.
6. Click Close.

To use the feature where LDAP is searched, create a new message by choosing New Message from the File menu. Enter part of a name in the To: line. The client will do an LDAP lookup, present a list of results, and complete it once you select a name from the list of results.
