Netscape Communicator 4.x

1. Choose Address Book from the Communicator menu.
2. The Address Book appears. In the directory section, you will most likely see other default directories listed with your personal address book.
3. To create a directory for the WVU LDAP server, choose New Directory from the File menu.
4. The Directory Server Properties dialog box appears. In the Description field, assign a name (for example, wvuLDAP). In the LDAP Server field, type ldap.wvu.edu. Type ou=people,dc=wvu,dc=edu in the Search Root field. Set the port number to 389.
5. To use this directory, click once on its icon in the Directory section of the Address Book window.
6. In the "Show names containing" field, type the search criteria (for example, a person's last name).
7. Search results will display in the main Address Book window.
8. To expand the search results, double-click on the entry.
